At Drew Horowitz & Associates, we know that the family’s recovery is as important as the recovery from addiction. The goal of our St Paul interventions in MN is to help your family reset expectations and find an approach that will help both the family and the individual struggling with addiction.
What Does Our Intervention Process Look Like?
The addiction professionals at Drew Horowitz & Associates are prepared to help your family understand addiction better and find a long-term treatment plan that works for your loved one affected by addiction.
Our interventions in St. Paul are structured so your family will achieve closure. We’ll work with you leading up to the intervention to understand the process better, facilitate the in-person intervention, and coach you afterward to achieve recovery as a family. The actual intervention is only a small portion of the services we provide.
What Role Does the Intervention Specialist Play?
At Drew Horowitz & Associates, we understand that every individual has a unique connection with addiction. Our aim is directed at long-term recovery built through thorough assessments and carried out with evidence-based support strategies.
The role of our interventionist is not to only to get the individual to agree to treatment, we want them to agree to receive help. And, then we work with the family as a whole to heal. Our mission is to build a bridge that leads to a full recovery for all involved.
Along with bringing your family together for the intervention, we also work as a treatment coordinator so you find the correct treatment plan at the correct treatment facility that fits your needs as well as your health plan.
Drew Horowitz is an incredibly skilled interventionist. In recent years, 80% of his interventions resulted in the clients going to treatment that same day. If someone you love is in need of professional help, contact us ASAP to learn more about how we can help.
Explain the Intervention Process
After the initial consultation request, we conduct conversations to learn exactly how we can help your loved one accept the help they so desperately need. We will work with you to identify the behaviors of the user and each individual family member and how they coexist with the addiction.
Next, we conduct assessments and schedule the intervention. Every detail of the intervention is planned and discussed–everything from where each person sits to the order of speaking, and who will respond if the addict attempts to disrupt the intervention or leave completely.
Once scheduled and participating family members agree to the intervention time and date, we educate everyone involved about the addiction disease and how their own behavior allows the user to continue in their addiction. We will introduce strategies that help lead you on the path to recovery.
Then, the intervention will take place. A member of the team at Drew Horowitz & Associates will act as the facilitator and direct the events in order to keep the momentum moving forward.
Whether the individual agrees to get help or declines, our intervention specialists in St Paul will have a plan in place for your family to continue on the road to recovery. If your loved one does accept the help we’re offering them, we will transport them to a treatment center agreed upon by the family and interventionist.
If they do end up choosing to decline our gift, your family will explain your new boundaries and the consequences of their actions. We will assist your family through this process and continue consulting with you on your own recovery.
